CHEAP RICK RIORDAN BOOKS

Rick Riordan

I had a different post planned for today, but when I saw an amazing email pop up in my inbox today, I knew I had to share it with you guys! It is a common fact that I love both of the Percy Jackson series–I rank them up near Harry Potter.

Unfortunately, there are many people who haven’t yet experienced the magic of reading a Percy Jackson book. However, that can all change today! On Amazon Kindle today, all of Rick’s books are 1.99 (excluding his newest release Trials of Apollo)!

You can buy the PJO series or the HOO for only 10 dollars, and the Kane Chronicles for 6 dollars. They are even selling the Greek Gods/Monsters books, which give more depth about greek mythology.

If you read Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus, you can then read the Trials of Apollo, The Hidden Oracle, which came out earlier this month. My official review is coming tomorrow, but I ABSOLUTELY ADORED IT.

So if you are ever planning on picking up these wonderful series, act today!

Empire of Storms Cover + Synopsis

IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THIS SERIES/ARE NOT CAUGHT UP, DO NOT CONTINUE READING THIS POST. THE GOODREADS SUMMARY ALONE IS SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER. SERIOUSLY DO NOT READ ANYMORE OF THIS.

~~~~~
Ok, so for those of you who have kept up with Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series, you probably know that we recently got a cover release and goodreads summary! If you haven’t seen it yet, here it is!
Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass, #5)
I LOVE IT! It is definitely one of the better covers of the series (although I think Queen of Shadows is still my favorite). Normally, when I see fire on a fantasy cover, it looks super cheesy and unneccessary, but this time it actually makes sense!
This cover isn’t the only thing I’m excited for, because there is also a summary!
The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don’t.
As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.
Aelin’s journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?
The worst thing about Sarah J. Maas books is how I read them so fast, and then I have to wait a whole year to get the next one :(. I have no idea how I am going to wait for September 7th. There are so many things to be excited for in this book!
EDIT: I just realized that this is the second to last book, and after this one there is only one more o:
The May 3rd Exciting Predicament
It’s been awhile! I know I have been super inactive, but life gets busy and there is just no time! I’m afraid I won’t have too much time in the next few weeks, but once summer rolls around, I’ll have all the time in the world. During this time, I am definitely still reading, just not blogging. I’m going to have a ton of reviews to catch up on when I get around to it!
Anyways, I was looking at my calendar of new releases, and found that quite possibly the most exciting day is approaching us in 2 days. That’s right, it is May 3rd.
What’s so special about May 3rd, you ask? IT’S BASICALLY THE MOST TERRIFIC TUESDAY OF THE YEAR WITH A BAJILLON NEW RELEASES.
Seriously, I have 3 anticipated books releasing on this day. And when I say anticpated, I don’t mean “hey that looks like a good read,” but rather the “I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG!” There also some other great books releasing as well that day, but this three are my priority.
The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo, #1)  The Unexpected Everything  The Crown (The Selection, #5)
Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan
“How do you punish an immortal? By making him human. After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disorientated, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus’s favour. But Apollo has many enemies – gods, monsters and mortals who would love to see the former Olympian permanently destroyed. Apollo needs help, and he can think of only one place to go . . . an enclave of modern demigods known as Camp Half-Blood.”
The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
‘Andie had it all planned out. When you are a politician’s daughter who’s pretty much raised yourself, you learn everything can be planned or spun, or both. Especially your future. Important internship? Check. Amazing friends? Check. Guys? Check (as long as we’re talking no more than three weeks) But that was before the scandal. Before having to be in the same house with her dad. Before walking an insane number of dogs. That was before Clark and those few months that might change her whole life. Because here’s the thing – if everything’s planned out, you can never find the unexpected.  And where’s the fun in that?”
The Crown by Kiera Cass
“Twenty years have passed since the events of The One, and America and Maxon’s daughter is the first princess to hold a Selection of her own. Princess Eadlyn didn’t think she would find a real partner among the Selection’s thirty-five suitors, let alone true love. But sometimes the heart has a way of surprising you… and now Eadlyn must make a choice that feels more difficult—and more important—than she ever expected.”
Seriously, how can three books as amazing as these be released all on the same day? This is probably the order I will read them because…
  1. IT IS A NEW PERCY JACKSON BOOK WITH GREEK MYTHOLOGY AND YES JUST GIVE IT TO ME RIGHT NOW
  2. MORGAN MATSON IS ACTUAL PERFECTION AND HAVE YOU READ SINCE YOU’VE BEEN GONE AKA THE BEST SUMMER BOOK IN EXISTENCE
  3. I HAVE TO SEE HOW THIS SERIES ENDS (AGAIN??)
As you can tell by the overuse of capitalization, I am quite excited. Any anticipated reads coming out for you on May 3rd? Tell me about all the books!
